Charles says this doesn't sound like the work of Israel: Another bomb explodes in southern Thailand. (Via LGF)
BANGKOK, Thailand: A bomb exploded at a market in one of Thailand's predominantly Muslim southern provinces early Saturday, killing one Buddhist man and wounding another seven people in the latest of a series of attacks blamed on insurgents.
The device, believed to have been triggered by mobile phone, exploded at a morning market in the Tanto district of Yala province around 7 a.m. (0000 GMT), police Capt. Peerasil Ritapipat said.
The wounded included a 1-year-old boy, three women and three men, all of them Buddhists, he said.
Thailand is largely Buddhist, but the southern provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat have Muslim majorities.
Police have evacuated vendors and other people from the market for fear that more bombs might have been planted in the area.
