1000 Lashes For Camera Phone Porn

The Sand Nazis are at it again: Crackdown on cameraphone porn: guilty face 1,000 lashes.

The Saudi government is clamping down on the distribution of pornographic images using a mobile phone, proposing 1,000 lashes, twelve years in jail, or a USD26,000 fine for anyone found guilty of committing such acts. Arab states have embarked on a campaign to crack down on the illegal or immoral use of camera phones. Kuwait’s National Assembly recently approved a proposal to impose a two-year prison term on anyone found guilty of taking an unauthorised photo of someone using a cameraphone. In addition, more draconian rules call for a ten-year sentence if the photos are then used ‘for immoral purposes’. The Saudi government tried to ban camera phones completely, but backed down after it became apparent that illegal gray cameraphone imports were getting round the ban.
